Few days late with this one, I know, but it felt pointless to write it up on a holiday weekend. Here are the stats if you’re curious about this one a few days later…
I tracked this game Saturday afternoon and promptly forgot about it Saturday night. Just by looking at my data, the Canucks had some trouble getting passes through to the front of the net, and the Rangers did a good job of ensuring their shots were scoring chances.
The Canucks, as we’ve come to expect, had a high percentage of their shots be non-chance shots off the cycle. The team is still having trouble generating anything with speed.
Real problem.
